Ribera del Duero
It's territory is located in the northern Spanish plateau, at the confluence of four integrated provinces; Castillo y León Region: Burgos, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid.
Ribera del Duero wines are mainly red; the production focuses especially on the so-called vinos de autor, signature wines. The Tempranillo varietal is very well represented in this region, also known as Tinta del país; it is cultivated on 90% of the appellation's surface, and makes powerful, fruity wines.
